Baked

I'm not really a baker or much of a cook. Today, I really wanted to make some pig in a blanket so I was determined to buy the ingredients. After the grocery store, I came home to prepare the piggies in the blanket. I wanted to be spontaneous and sauteed mushrooms to fill the croissants, too. Yup, that's me, spontaneous. :)

Here's the picture of the end result. Maybe not the best looking croissants, but at least it's edible. I was having a hard time wrapping the mushrooms in the croissants. No matter how it looked, I feel accomplished today. I attempted to bake and it was edible. That is truly all that matters and that makes me happy. :)

Me love Midori

One of my favorite drinks at this lounge is called Midori. It's a mixed cocktail with sake. Don't ask me what's in it, that's all I remember. It always makes me happy and smiley when I have a drink with good company. My drink stories are never as fun as some people's drinky stories, but mines are always memorable because of the laughter reminiscing the ridiculous past adventures.

Beach

Living in Hawaii is a reward. We are surrounded by beach and sunshine. Sometimes I don't get to go to the beach as often as I should for someone living on a beautiful island. When I do have a chance to go to the beach, it's always a rewarding and relaxing day. The sun embracing me, the view of the blue water, and the sound of wave crashing into the sands reminds me of how lucky I am to live in Hawaii. I do dream about moving away from this tiny island sometimes, but I may miss the sunshine too much to keep myself away.

You could never have enough fries

Fries are one of my favorite food. It goes with anything. Well, at least to me, it goes with anything. When I'm feeling down, fries would make me feel much better. All the fried, greasiness, and crispiness is just yummy. Fries also are perfect with all kinds of different sauces like ranch, honey mustard, buttermilk, and cheese. My mouth is salivating now. Let's go grab some fries.

Reach for the Stars

Stars are an inspiration. When I see stars, I think of dreams. Dream big and reach for the star and if you don't get to one, you'll be amongst a few. So I've started folding stars for friends to inspire them. Every one should remember to shoot for the stars.

A small poke bowl, please.

Paina Cafe is one of the places that I would have never found myself dining at or going to. Now, this brave girl gave raw fish a chance and Paina Cafe...here I come. This cafe is known for their poke bowls. For those of you who don't know what poke means, poke is defined as a raw salad appetizer in the Hawaii. Then poke bowls would stand for raw salad in a bowl. :)

In this delectable picture above, a bowlful of rice carried the very generous portion of ginger shoyu salmon poke sprinkled with taegu and furikake. What is taegu? Taegu is seasoned dried codfish. It is very yummy. Trust me, this Asian-style seasoned fish is an addition you would want on your poke, salad, or rice. My lunch was filling and satisfying. Who would have known is this tiny plastic bowl is a hearty lunch. One of my favorite part of my lunch was the furikake. Paina Cafe was not stingy with their furikake. I love it.

Summer Bloom

The one thing that will always make me smile are flowers. It never fails.

Today, I went to the Bridal Expo with my good friend. It was a beautiful event. I haven't been to such a nice event in real long time. As we walked through the isles, we grabbed handful of business cards and photo fliers from all the vendors. My friend absorbed all the information she could for today. Whew...she got a lot of decisions to make after today's expo. Aside from all the informative vendors, there was one common accent in almost all booth...flowers. There were red, pink, orange, purple, yellow, and white flowers all around.

Every time I see flowers, my face shines with a big brilliant smile. Flowers make any occasion special and memorable. No matter what the occasion, it sends words of tear, happiness, and love. The colors you see in a flower arrangement inspire how you feel and most of the time, it's a pleasant feeling. A feeling that will remind you of a special someone or special time. When good memories come up, the day is just as good as that special moment. What a Smiley Sunday.
