Stars are an inspiration. When I see stars, I think of dreams. Dream big and reach for the star and if you don't get to one, you'll be amongst a few. So I've started folding stars for friends to inspire them. Every one should remember to shoot for the stars.

A small poke bowl, please.
Paina Cafe is one of the places that I would have never found myself dining at or going to. Now, this brave girl gave raw fish a chance and Paina Cafe...here I come. This cafe is known for their poke bowls. For those of you who don't know what poke means, poke is defined as a raw salad appetizer in the Hawaii. Then poke bowls would stand for raw salad in a bowl. :)
In this delectable picture above, a bowlful of rice carried the very generous portion of ginger shoyu salmon poke sprinkled with taegu and furikake. What is taegu? Taegu is seasoned dried codfish. It is very yummy. Trust me, this Asian-style seasoned fish is an addition you would want on your poke, salad, or rice. My lunch was filling and satisfying. Who would have known is this tiny plastic bowl is a hearty lunch. One of my favorite part of my lunch was the furikake. Paina Cafe was not stingy with their furikake. I love it.

Summer Bloom
The one thing that will always make me smile are flowers. It never fails.
Today, I went to the Bridal Expo with my good friend. It was a beautiful event. I haven't been to such a nice event in real long time. As we walked through the isles, we grabbed handful of business cards and photo fliers from all the vendors. My friend absorbed all the information she could for today. Whew...she got a lot of decisions to make after today's expo. Aside from all the informative vendors, there was one common accent in almost all booth...flowers. There were red, pink, orange, purple, yellow, and white flowers all around.
Every time I see flowers, my face shines with a big brilliant smile. Flowers make any occasion special and memorable. No matter what the occasion, it sends words of tear, happiness, and love. The colors you see in a flower arrangement inspire how you feel and most of the time, it's a pleasant feeling. A feeling that will remind you of a special someone or special time. When good memories come up, the day is just as good as that special moment. What a Smiley Sunday.

I see a dragon
Row, Row, Row. Come on, push.
I've always wanted to see the dragon boat race. Today I finally got to this exhilarating and fascinating race. These races started early in the morning and ended in the evening. Each team sped away once the horn went off and reaching for the bright colored flag. The many teams there tried their hardest to win and get into the finals. Watching the team work together was eye opening. Until the boats reached it's flag, no one gave up. Maybe one day, I'll get to be a part of the dragon boat team. :)

Strawberry
I'm not sure when I started LOVING sweet, red strawberries. I've always like strawberry flavored juices and ice cream but now, the red fruit is a favorite. Strawberry dipped in cool whip, chocolate dipped strawberries, and just plain strawberries are the best dessert, best snack, just the best.

Work Out Mode
Wellness is the biggest push today. A healthier lifestyle is a much more brighter life. Stress levels are reduced and you are rejuvenated. In the past year, I've been an active gym member and eating a bit healthier. In the beginning, it was difficult to cut down on my soda intake and other carbs. Now it's like it's much easier to not eat rice for a day or two and it's hard to finish a can of soda.
Working out is great. I'm more energized and feel happier. My legs are hurting from today's light work out but it's a good pain. :)

For the love of sashimi
Oh, WOWEEEEE!!! About nine months ago, I was the girl who never wanted to try sashimi. I had no desire to let raw fish down my throat. Actually, I was very afraid of worms and other parasites that lived in raw fish. It was pretty difficult for me to grasp the thought around eating something with the possibility of turning my tummy. At this moment in life, I'm this brave girl who crave for the delicate, tender, fresh taste of fish. My tummy yearns for fresh sashimi. I almost have dreams about myself sitting in front of a table of an assortment of clean, crisp, raw fish, cut into little rectangles of deliciousness. I may not have a way with words, but I'm sure you could feel my enthusiasm about this sashimi craving.
